The ascent of pop-up stores as a way of making use of temporarily-available space or to inject freshness into retail environments shows no signs of abatement, with a major department store opening its own showcase while an independent proposes the first “pop-up mall”. The two projects continue to extend the notion of the pop-up and suggest that it will become a permanent feature of the European retail scene.
