French grocery giant Carrefour is to cut back selling space devoted to some non-food items at its French hypermarkets and to give local store managers a greater say over the products they sell as part of its plan to revive sales. The struggling business has also revamped its property division, bringing together its European and international portfolio under one management umbrella.
