Metro Group is considering an exit from Bulgaria, Egypt, Japan and Kazakhstan. The German group is believed to be selling in order to invest funds into its struggling home market. The company is hoping to accelerate the pace of transformation in its domestic business. Further changes are planned among top management and its non-food product assortment will be streamlined.
